“Never, say never!” I recently spent time in the Catskill Mountains with some friends and went for a beer tasting. YEP, you read that right – BEER! This die-hard martini loving gal stepped out of her cocktail comfort zone and actually found out she enjoys beer. Not ALL beer, and I am not about to start downing six-packs, but a nice cold brewski on a hot summer day, sign me up! Who’s with me?

Personally, I feel I owe my knife cutting skills to my dad, but also how to make a mean iced coffee, and most importantly, per my father, “Never drink a cocktail with a stirrer!” (Hmmm, maybe not kitchen related?)

And be that as it may, if you eat less calories than your body burns you should lose weight. This is NOT a new concept, nothing complicated, but rather something that has shown to work over the years. Read on if you prefer to keep it simple instead of seeking out another new, fad diet!
