Last week I went to visit my mom in Florida. Hence, no Keri Report – perhaps you noticed, or not. Anyhoo, whenever I travel I try to adhere to as much as my usual routine as I can. Went to yoga twice, yeah! And with mom! I also ate most of my usual foods. Hey, I wasn’t in a foreign country or on a desert island, so I really didn’t have any good excuses not to. Yes, I ordered a bloody Mary with lunch (not my typical go to beverage midweek in NYC) but I also found a yummy salad to partake in. Bottom line is that as always it comes down to the decisions YOU make on a daily basis that guide YOUR overall health. Be smart my friends 🙂

9 Unusual Ways To Eat Oatmeal – US News Eat + Run
So for as long as I can remember I have eaten oatmeal for breakfast nearly every morning. I think I inherited this gene from my mom. Also from my mom I learned that oatmeal makes a great breading for chicken cutlets; however, not sure I appreciated this as much growing up as I should of. But now that I am older and wiser, I just can’t get enough of oats in any capacity. Knowing that I have RD pals who share my love of oats (and admit-tingly a tad more adventurous in the kitchen than I) I gathered up their ideas for my most recent US News blog. Happy reading!
9 Things You Should Never Do When Starting A Diet – Silver Sneakers
Well, the first thing you should NEVER do is call what you are starting “a diet”! And then you should definitely prepare yourself for baby steps; you know the “Rome Wasn’t Built In A Day” mentality. Can’t say enough how important this way of thinking is. I really love the realistic approach of this article, we need more of these types, and so glad I was able to chime in.
P.S. Detox photo was used as another reminder of what NOT to do 🙂
