Another year – another list of resolutions! Why oh why do we do this to ourselves every year? We make all these promises to do better, on so many levels, and then fall flat on our butts. The thing is – we give up too early, waaaay too early. Rome wasn’t built in a day, right? So here’s a story:

I injured my hamstring a while back. And all of a sudden I went from being a flexible yogi to that person who couldn’t touch her toes. I wanted a quick fix but there wasn’t such a thing. Patience is what was required. And so I modified my practice, listened to my body, and let go of my ego. Trust me- not so easy for a Miss Competitive! But overtime my flexibility returned – and then some. The moral of the story – is if you are patient with your goals you might even surpass them!

Happy New Year everyone!

The Small Change Diet

The 10 Most Googled Diets of 2016

I had a dream. It was the end of 2016 and I went to see what the top diet searches on Google were. Before my very own eyes appeared: eating healthy, balanced diet, no detoxes, i hate cleansing, lifestyle changes, how to incorporated more fruits and veggies, and The Small Change Diet (ha!).

And then I woke up!  Reality is a nightmare. See for yourself on my latest US News blog.

10 of the Best Winter Weight-Loss Tips

If you want to know how to lose weight correctly who should you ask? Drum roll please…. registered dietitian nutritionists. They are the nutrition experts! You might of course consider me biased here and yes – that would be correct. Thanks to my friend Joan Salge Blake for putting together a great round up of tips on US News by some very smart women.
