In two weeks I will sit for my yoga teaching exam. Time has definitely gone quickly. Presently I am feeling a little stressed out (not typical for me!) since I have a lot of work ahead of me till I am ready for my final. Kind of ironic don’t you think – yoga causing stress? Anyway – my husband reminded me “You wanted this!”. Yes, I do. Hey, sometimes we have a goal and sometimes along the way we find ourselves stressing out about it. Will we ever really get there? We are so tempted to give up. But in the middle of the chaos we need to remind ourselves why we started in the first place and stick with it. Oh, and through out it all, remember to breathe, always remember to breathe. Inhale…..exhale!

Keri’s Kitchen: Home Bistro
Some times I don’t feel like cooking!! Gasp! But if I am not going out to eat that mostly means ordering in from take out. Sure I live in a city where every restaurant is practically at my fingertips via Seamless or Postmates, yet I still manage to get bored with the options, tire of the long wait times, and the price adds up, especially if ordering for two. I also don’t like the temptation to choose not so healthy options, well, that’s mainly for hubby.
So please join me in giving a warm welcome to Home Bistro. With practically NO prep, NO clean up, and ready in less than 15 minutes you get to enjoy a high quality restaurant meal in your home. I want to be clear: is a not a meal prep delivery service where you have to put it all the ingredients together but rather the meals come frozen to your door and you can order as many as you want a head of time. They provide a huge variety of entree options, even for specialized diets, and they ship nationwide. You can enjoy their meals for lunch and/or dinner.
I am not a paid spokesperson for this company, even though I would like to be. Hint, hint. They just happened to ask if I would like to receive samples to try it and I did. NO meal has over 700 calories with the average being much closer too 500. Sodium is reasonable. I really feel like they did their homework to create healthy options that taste great. My favorite so far is the Golden Curry Shrimp bowl (and I typically don’t like curry!) Since in my opinion you can never eat enough veggies, I added Brussels sprouts to the bowl and had a salad on the side. Hubby loved the Saucy Chicken Tagine with Couscous (and he typically doesn’t love anything with a sauce!)
At this point all I can say is check out their website to see if any of their products appeal to you. They have created a code for my audience – KERI. If you enter it during checkout you will get 15% off any item that is not already discounted. It will not work on gift certificates. Let me know what you think!!!!!
6 Common Nutrition Tips That Are No Longer True
A girl can change her mind, right? You bet! Besides me changing my hair styles and fashion picks over the many years, I guess I too have changed my mind on some nutrition tips. Now don’t get me wrong – I am not saying that my old tips were in “anyway” bad for you or that you shouldn’t continue with them if you really like them. All I am saying is that sometimes science evolves, we evolve, and what was then isn’t what is now. However, please don’t ever let me wear shoulder pads again!
9 Ways To Lose Weight That Aren’t Just Diet and Exercise
There really are so many tips that can help with losing weight that aren’t just about what’s on your plate or how many times you hit the gym. Good news, right? Thanks to My Fitness Pal’s blog for interviewing me on some of my thoughts. Personally I can relate to the “buddy” concept. When I know a friend is meeting me at a yoga class, I never (OK, almost never) not show up. Read on for other important tips!
