Have to admit, avocado toast never gets old! I am beginning to wonder how I lived for so many years of my life without it. It’s actually shocking! Ha! Anyway, if I really think about it I have had other LONG food jags in my life and they are usually breakfast or lunch related. For example, before it was avocado toast it was a spinach and feta, egg-white omelet. Anyone else who can relate to food jags? Also, my current forever breakfast is oatmeal with peanut butter. Before that is was oatmeal with cottage cheese. (I know some of you might think the cottage cheese is weird, but you should really try it. Yum!) Never quite sure the exact time of any switch, but I do know eventually it occurs. Can’t imagine what is next!

How Many Calories Should You Eat to Lose Weight?Prevention

Ahhhh….the ultimate question!!!! The general rule is that if you eat less than 500 calories per day than you are currently eating for 7 days straight you should lose one pound. But here’s the thing……who really wants to spend their time counting calories and playing mathematician? My guess – almost no one! I’d like to think we have other more rewarding things to do with our time. As I told Prevention Magazine, “I don’t even discuss calories with my clients because I don’t want them to focus on a number. Instead, I want them to focus on how to build a healthy plate because if you do it the right way, your calorie count will be where it should be naturally.” Mic drop!
