I cannot believe that it is August. The summer seems to be flying by and there is nothing I can do about it. Unless of course I moved somewhere where there is “summer” type weather all year round? Hmmm, suggestions anyone? In the meanwhile (and back to reality) I feel like starting the new month by setting some records straight, again: 1. Not all diets are created equal; and 2. Know from where you get your diet information from. I also thought, totally not related, to throw in a cute new bag recommendation to help carry stuff, because schlepping shouldn’t be so boring!

Keri’s Product Pick: Itzy – The Little Bag That Stretches
Sometimes I have to admit that I love when my “somewhat” obsession with Instagram pays off. Sure my husband (and my mother) thinks I spend too much time looking at other people’s photos, but truth be told there is a method to my madness. And most recently it was finding these most adorable shopping bags from Gadgit Girlz™. Thank you @StephieKrik for sharing.
As their website perfectly puts it:
“The Itzy is magical! It fits in the palm of your hand, making it easy to take anywhere. Use it for shopping, laundry, shoes, the beach, toys, and more. It expands to fit all your needs, and when the job is done, the Itzy shrinks back to its Itzy size. . . over. . . and over. . . again.
I also found out from the creators that it is washable, yay! With one of these in my bag I will definitely feel that I’m helping our environment. And as you know, every little itzy bit counts :)))))
Is The ‘Sirtfood’ Diet Legit?
Just when we thought there wasn’t a new celebrity diet trending — hellloooo “The Sirtfood Diet”. Honestly, I love when a new diet storms the media because typically it gives me something to rip apart and make fun of. (Sorry, I know that isn’t very zen of me!) Anyway, this diet isn’t SO crazy; it actually includes a lot of healthy foods (wine included) that I typically do recommend. But before you jump on the band wagon, read ALL my thoughts about it in my recent US News blog.

Well my friends, that couldn’t be further from the truth. So thrilled that Women’s Health wrote this article and that they asked me to chime in. Read on!
