And just like that another year has flown by. And what’s even crazier —– another decade! I’d like to take this time to thank you all for subscribing to The Keri Report – but most of all, taking the time to read it! It’s been a wild year in the health and nutrition world and it isn’t easy keeping up with it all. But I try my best knowing that I will share what I learn with you. SO, with that in mind I thought why not end this year with some articles I recently wrote for U.S. News. Hope you enjoy….and here’s to an amazing 2020!

In this week’s The Keri Report:

  • Common Cold Supplements: Do They Work?
  • Most Popular Diets of 2019, According to Google
  • Fad Diets Through the Decades

Common Cold Supplements: Do They Really Work?U.S. News Eat + Run Blog

Happy to report that I since I wrote this article, my cold FINALLY went away. And trust me, it was a doozie! Desperate to feel better I really did spend a lot of time on line searching for “cures”. Read on to see what I discovered, some of it I think you will be surprised by, some maybe not so. In any event, here’s to us all remaining cold (and flu) free for the rest of the winter. Fingers crossed!

Most Popular Diets of 2019, According to Google U.S. News Eat + Run Blog

Every year when I write this story, I’ve been doing it since 2013, I have to take a deep sigh and keep going. I don’t know whether to cry or laugh. I mean really, you can’t make this stuff up. I keep hoping that by next year Americans will come to their senses and give up on the fads. I guess one can still dream!

Fad Diets Through the Decades U.S. News Eat + Run Blog

The more things change, the more things stay the same. Sigh! As if looking at the last year wasn’t enough, I also took a look through the decades, starting in 1920, and it hasn’t been pretty. From the Cigarette Diet (Yep, that was a thing!) and the Drinking Man’s Diet (OK, this might sound like fun!) to the HCG diet (Ahhh, pregnancy hormones anyone?) I felt more like I was writing fiction than non-fiction. Even if you don’t give a hoot about diets you might enjoy this article solely for the fun (or horror) of it!
