Many of you might know that I am a long time yoga practitioner, but you might not know I also became a teacher around two years ago. Recently I started teaching a weekly morning class (House of Jai, Mondays 9:30-10:45am) in addition to my occasionally subbing. My husband asked me: “Why take on more responsibility?” Funny, I hadn’t thought of it that way at all. For me, it was about sharing my love of yoga with others and challenging myself to do something new. If that’s more responsibility, than I guess I’ll take it!

When, oh when, will a celebrity step up to the plate and say eating a well-balanced diet without restrictions is really cool? Like really cool!!! Too boring? I guess so. Because for some reason they prefer to tout their newest, craziest way of losing weight. Who cares if millions listen to their advice which is not based on any conclusive science?? Not them! Come on Bey, you can do better!

If it isn’t one celebrity, it’s another – looking at you Kim! Honestly, weight loss shakes have been around for a long time, but with the help of social media many of them recently have taken off like sky rockets. And to date, anything that offers a “flat tummy” is forever popular. When will everyone stop being so gullible?!! Oh, maybe they should just read this article.

Plant-based foods seem to be all the craze right now and with them usually comes a positive association of health. But, is that always accurate? In some instances, the answer would be YES, however sometimes the answer could also be NO. Lot’s of dietitians feel that the creators of the Impossible burger could of done better, BUT one could argue that for some people it is better? Small changes my friends!
