For those of you who know me, I haven’t always been a big “juice” person, besides of course OJ (hence my partnership with Florida’s Natural). But nowadays juicing is so popular – I can’t seem to avoid it. Mind you, I’m not talking about juicing a.k.a. detoxing (that is a whole other conversation for another time), but veggie, or veggie and fruit, store bought varieties. So, this week I thought it would be helpful to find one product to share with you that I approve of and why. Plus, it’s wedding season – so I wrote a blog for US News on tips to help you feel and look great on your wedding day. And lastly, with protein all the rage, my interview with Self Magazine just might come in handy.

Product Pick of the Week: Juice Generation Supa Dupa Greens

Green juices are hot these days – but how do you pick the healthiest one? Some of them can be too high in sugar and others are just a calorie bomb. A good rule of thumb is to take a look at the ingredients in the juice (or be selective with your own ingredients if you’re juicing at home)! Fiber rich veggies like spinach and kale are great staples in any green juice. Plus, if you can find one with 1-2 servings of fruit even better – it’s enough to add more nutritional value and some sweetness without going overboard on number of fruit servings.

I like this green juice from Juice Generation called Supa Dupa Greens. It has spinach, kale, parsley, collard greens, cucumber, celery, lemon and apple. Full disclosure – I haven’t tried it (I’m a kale hater) – but Erika, who works with me, said it wasn’t too sweet and quite refreshing. This juice can be a good snack, as a way to sneak in some extra veggies (in addition to the ones you’re already eating throughout your day!) But please remember to pair it with some protein or healthy fat – e.g. greek yogurt of 1 oz. of peanuts.

Nutrition Facts (that I care about) in 1 juice (12 oz. size):
* 60 Calories
* 0 g Total Fat
* 45 mg Sodium
* 1 g Sugar
* 3 g Protein
